Euclid is best described as "The Father of Geometry." He is best know for writing "The Elements" which was the main source of study for all mathematics until the 19th century. Still textbooks today, including ours, maintain the same theories and principles as "The Elements" had some 2000 years ago. It is for these reasons, and many more, why we call it Euclidean Geometry.
